Miami Heat player Chris Bosh’s image has been on the up and up since he joined the Miami Heat and eventually married his spicy girlfriend, Adrienne Bosh but now that his baby’s mother has come back in the picture, folks are giving him a mean side eye. Last week, while Bosh was on the brink of an NBA Championship, his baby mama Allison Mathis revealed that she had to apply forfood stamps after she was laid off from her secretarial job. To add insult to injury, her home is in jeopardy of getting foreclosed and the $2600 a month that Chris Bosh is paying in child support is barely helping her make ends met. Mind you, Chris Bosh makes $18 million a year and lives in a 12.5 million dollar mansion –he probably should be paying more than Halle Berry in child support.
Allison recently sat down with the folks over at Gossip Extra, and dished more tea on her relationship with Bosh. She says that Bosh has spent millions on lawyers to keep her child support payments low but will not dish out any extra money to help her during this time. She also claims that it was his idea to have a baby out of wedlock and that he even had her take fertility treatments, however the two broke up when she was six months pregnant. If you are wondering why, Allison hasn’t found work yet, she says the economy is tough, and she had a job offer on Basketball Wives, but Chris sued the show when he found out that she would be on there, and they ended up firing her.
Catch a few excerpts and video from her interview below:
On if her daughter was planned
Our daughter was planned and took a long time for us to conceive. Chris was in the beginning more so adamant about having a baby out of wedlock then I was. So I would have never imagined it at all and we were both very, very elated when we got the news that we were going to be having a baby. [There’s video footage of a happy Chris Bosh with the pregnancy test]On why they didn’t get married
We talked about it; we actually got fitted for rings and everything. We talked about the different designs and everything so it was definitely in the plans. He, of course, told my mother and assured my mother because my mother was very kind of against us having a baby before marriage. But he assured her; he told his mother and father, so a lot of my family and I were aware that it was going to happen and it just did not.On if Chris Bosh changed from the guy she knew
They’re so extreme. I literally do not know at all this person. I guess I somewhat knew ‘C’ before but the #1 guy I have absolutely no idea who he is. He was always very reserved and very laid back and enjoyed the private life that we had. We were always invited to events especially in Toronto, he was kind of like the King of Toronto, and we had the key to the city. We went out quite a bit at that time and we were always invited to big events but we kind of took the back door in. We never really want to be in the forefront of everything; we just wanted to enjoy our time and enjoy our friends. Now it’s like he’s like, “Please let me know when the red carpet is.” It’s just so…who is he?On Her daily struggles
Day to day struggles, of course with him I was able to eat well every night and now it’s my daughter and myself and it’s hard to know where the next meal is going to come from. I lost my job not even a month ago and this economy is really, really tough. You know I’m not the only one and I don’t expect for anyone to feel sorry for me and have pity on me but I do think that the father of my child, given the fact that he is able to help his child out, should be willing to.On how Bosh responded to her struggling to make ends meet
He’s living this life, not by any means the same life as my daughter and I are living, but he knows exactly what is going on. He knows that we desperately need his help and he’s just not even offering anything other than I think he was quoted saying “I’m sadden.” But I think instead of being sad be glad to help your child.I have applied for assistance and I’m waiting on my letter back to know whether or not I have been accepted. For food stamps
On Basketball Wives
Well, I was offered a job on Basketball Wives and I filmed a couple episodes and I guess it leaked that I had landed this job and Chris of course did not want me to go on it so he sued me to keep me from going on it. I would’ve made a hell of a lot more money than I’m currently – well I’m not making any money but with other job offers that I had. What was he afraid of?
I always wondered if you didn’t want me to speak about you then maybe you should have reached out to me or to my attorney or your side or whatever and said, “Look, it’s okay for her to go on the show because it’s a way to provide income for her daughter but don’t mention Chris’ name. Don’t talk about Chris or something.” That would’ve been a better approach then to just get me completed fired from the show.

Chris Bosh and his daughter
My only concern is that she’s building a case against herself and Chris Bosh can very well file for full custody of the kid and win
